More About Lashea Preslynn

Clinical Interests:

I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. My clinical interests include trauma and PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation, and self-esteem. I also enjoy working with individuals exploring identity, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those navigating major life transitions.

Clinical Approach:

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I integrate evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed skills, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Hobbies:

When I’m not meeting with clients, you’ll usually find me with a good book in hand, planning my next adventure, or spending quality time with my partner and loved ones. I love traveling and experiencing new places and cultures, and I enjoy creating a cozy space to unwind after a busy day. I also appreciate the simple things—trying a new coffee shop, taking care of my plants, or curling up with a great story. I believe those small moments of joy and connection are just as important as the big milestones, and they help me show up as my best self both personally and professionally.
