More About Maddy Baugh

Clinical Interests:

I primarily have experience working with adults, but have also enjoyed working with adolescents and couples in both community mental health and private practice settings. I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients as they navigate a variety of challenges, such as ADHD, anxiety, stress, and depression. I have also helped individuals with substance use concerns, self-esteem, body image, life transitions, and exploring identity and values. I genuinely value the opportunity to support people through life’s complexities, and I look forward to connecting with a wide range of people wherever they find themselves in their life journey.

Clinical Approach:

My approach to therapy is guided by the belief that clients are the experts of their own life. Therapy will look different based on the unique strengths and needs of each individual person. I aim to create an environment that feels comfortable, welcoming, and safe for everyone to be their most authentic self in. My goal is to empower clients to successfully reach their therapeutic goals, create positive change in their lives, and enhance their overall well-being. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach based on individual client’s prior experiences and ongoing needs. The majority of my therapeutic techniques are drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness based approaches.

Hobbies:

In my free time I like to read, watch movies, play games, and listen to new music. When the weather is nice, I also enjoy spending time in nature, going on hikes, and playing pickleball. The majority of my free time is spent enjoying the company of my family and friends.
