More About Stephanie Young
Clinical Interests:
I am especially interested in working with children and supporting their emotional and behavioral development as I work towards my LGSW. I enjoy helping children navigate anxiety, escalated emotions, and life stressors in a way that feels safe and age appropriate. I am drawn to using play-based and trauma-informed approaches and value working closely with families and other supports to help children feel understood and supported.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is warm, client centered, and strengths based. I focus on building trust and creating a safe space where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. I use developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed strategies and often incorporate play and creative activities to help children communicate and build coping skills. I also value collaboration with caregivers and other supports to make sure treatment feels consistent and supportive across environments.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. I also love finding new ways to recharge and practice self-care, which helps me stay present and find joy in my work.
