More About Tammi Cassidy
Clinical Interests:
I have an interest in working with individuals of all ages and have experience working with adolescents 14 years and older. I primarily work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress management, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationship difficulties, grief, addiction, and life transitions. I always approach each client from a trauma informed level of care and have experience working with individuals that have unresolved complex trauma.
Clinical Approach:
My number one priority is for you to feel safe, heard and understood. I am a person-centered and strength based therapist. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and draw from evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and always provide trauma informed care. I know it can be difficult to ask for help and to put yourself first. I will work with you collaboratively, within a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere, to foster change, personal growth, and healing. We will work on increasing self-awareness and self-understanding that will enhance your confidence and ability to implement various coping skills and live a meaningful and purposeful life.
Hobbies:
I love being outdoors, preferably during the summer :) I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also use my spare time planning adventures with my husband, visiting national and state parks. You can find me listening to audiobooks of all kinds whenever possible, especially when taking walks with my 2 dogs Lola and Ella.
